A balanced session sake with a big explosion of flavour on the front palate and upfront sweetness. Palate of peaches, mild licorice with a short, clean, savoury finish.
This is a very special sake from living in Japan 15 years ago. Made with a very rare sakura yeast received from Professor Nakata (Tokyo University of Agriculture) under the strict condition that this sake would be brewed and priced for the local people. With most of this sake consumed within a short drive of the brewery it is a great honour to be able to sell this long time favourite of the Gifu region. A delicious everyday drink at an affordable price.
