Yamamoto Wine Montrachet Barrel Junmai Ginjo 720ml
An experimental style of sake from Yamamoto. Aged in 3 year old Montrachet barrels for 7 months, this sake is made from a combination of chardonnay and akita yeasts. Straddling the worlds of wine and sake, the nose has subtle french oak, with a hint of lemon and pear. Palate is a wild ride that starts medium-sweet with hints of apple, pear, grapefruit, lemon, cotton candy and white pepper and finishes dry with well integrated astringency. A flamboyant sake.
