Daruma Masamune Sweet Junmai 720ml
Creating a sweet Junmai is a balancing act of sweetness, acidity and umami to create a sake that mouthfilling yet easy to drink in abundance. Made from hyper local Hatsushimo rice the palate is ripe banana, chestnut puree, hint of citrus, clotted cream and cardamon.
Sweet but surprisingly not too sweet with a very pleasing finish.
Very drinkable, fantastic with cheese. The Toji (master brewer) suggests to serve with strong dishes and even deep fried foods.
Drink now but also suitable for aging in the cellar for years to come.
