Mirin was originally produced as sweet beverage. During the Edo period is was said to be wildly popular with the upper class ladies in need of an afternoon pick me up. While we would never recommend a swig of the supermarket mirin bottle we have a special selection of exquisitly brewed and cellar aged mirin ready to drink. Enjoy well chilled over crushed ice or pour over vanilla icecream.
